Dallas OL has first two offers

Dallas (Texas) Lake Highland offensive tackle Chase Walling is a name that might not be all that familiar to followers of recruiting but the 6-foot-6, 270-pound prospect has been receiving interest from colleges for quite some time.
Recently the standout lineman picked up his first two scholarship offers. Both of them came as a surprise to him.

"I have a couple of offers," Walling said. "Marshall and K-State have offered me so far. The Marshall one came in early May and then Kansas State was like midway through the summer. I think Marshall came and saw me during the spring but, to be honest, I had had no previous contact with them before. It kind of came out of nowhere.
"Kansas State had sent me prospect questionnaires and stuff like that but not much either but the offensive line coach emailed my dad and offered me. I haven't gotten ahold of the Marshall coach but I've called him several times. I've gotten in contact with the Kansas State offensive line coach though."
Two other programs could be close to offering Walling as well.
"I'm hearing from Air Force a lot," he said. "Air Force and North Texas seem to be the two schools that are the most interested in me."
Walling has only visited one campus so far but he hopes to change that in the relatively near future.
"I went to a junior day at North Texas but I plan on visiting Kansas State," he said. "I also plan to go to Ole Miss and San Diego State. I haven't heard anything really from either of those two but those are two places I'd like to go and visit."
Walling would prefer to play in one of two conferences and does admit to having a favorite program at the moment.
"Any Big 12 or SEC school, that would be great," he said. "I'm just seeing whatever I get though. There's not really any one school in particular. Ole Miss would be the exception though. If I had my choice that is where I'd want to go. I have a bunch of friends out there that talk about how great it is there and it's not too far from home."
