Dallas junior Chiles the next big thing

After four-star cornerback Jonathan Nelson has left the halls of Mansfield (Texas) Summit, there is another top prospect on the horizon for coach Kyle Geller.
Since moving in from Carrollton Ranchview, the 6-foot-2, 190-pound speedster John Chiles has been outstanding at both quarterback and wide receiver. In fact, his play was so highly regarded the offers are already coming in from some big programs.

"He's been offered by Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Texas A&M," Geller said about his next top recruit. "He'll go big time and he'll get offered by everybody."
Geller said that the day he walked on the field that he knew he had something special.
"Chiles showed up the second day of practice this year out of the clear blue sky," Geller said. "It's pretty nice for that kind of a move-in to happen. He played quarterback and receiver for us and we'll play him at QB this year."
"He's a 6-foot-2 guy with 4.3-second speed. He's as good as I've ever coached."
Chiles rushed for 491 yards and nine touchdowns on the year, had passing yards that totaled 231 yards with a score, and collected 26 receptions for 694 yards along with eight appearances in the end zone.
