Dallas athlete grabs offers at quarterback

Though he could play all over the field, Dallas Samuell athlete DaWaylon Cook is looking to continue his career at the next level as a quarterback.
Cook, the 6-foot-2, 180-pounder, plays quarterback for his high school team and said from the beginning that he wanted to continue that position. West Virginia came with the first scholarship offer for Cook at that spot and now Utah has followed suit.

"Utah offered me - I got that about a week or two ago," Cook said. "Then I've still be keeping up with West Virginia. I think I'm going to make a visit out there sometime in July. That will be just for an unofficial visit."
The attention doesn't stop there. Cook says schools such as Iowa, Kansas State, North Texas, and Tulsa are also showing interest.
"UNT has been recruiting me pretty hard and I'm probably going to their camp next weekend," Cook said. "TCU said they may be offering pretty soon. I may be going to the Tulsa camp. I've been talking with the coaches quite a bit too.
"Right now, everybody has been recruiting me as a quarterback."
While Cook is busy with visits this summer, he says he plans to have a decision sometime during the season.
