Dad believes offer should have come

Norton, Kan. all-purpose back Terry Petrie is still looking for his first offer, but his father has been expecting an offer.
"Kansas State wants him to come play for them," Mr. Petrie said. "They have hinted at a possible offer. Yet we haven't seen one from them."

Three teams seem to be interested in the 5-foot-10, 170 pound running back, who played his junior year with a nagging hamstring strain.
"Nebraska, Colorado and Kansas State are saying that they are really interested in Terry," his dad said. "They want him to come to camp and keep sending him brochures like he never received one before."
"Some of the schools have hinted at having him walk-on, but as an out of state player that's just not possible, so we continue to look for a school that is serious enough about Terry."
Petrie is completely healthy now and has been running track.
"He placed second in the 100 (meters) at state recently," he said. "Though he's been busy with track, Colorado, U Conn and Nebraska have all called to talked to Terry."
In his junior year he had 158 carries for 1,020 yards with 17 touchdowns in eight games.
