D-tackle impresses at Miami Nike Camp

One of the most impressive defensive prospects at the Nike Training Camp down in Miami over the weekend was Demetris Anderson. Anderson, 6-2 and 285 pounds, is a defensive tackle that showed great feet, the ability to move well laterally and showed a lot of power and strength, especially in the one on one drills.
"That was a lot of fun," Anderson said. "I am glad I went. I worked on a bunch of things like my get off and using my hands. I am pretty happy with the way I performed."
At this time Anderson says he doesn't have any scholarship offers but several teams are showing interest and recruiting him hard.
"Right now teams like UCF, USF and Kansas are recruiting me. No one has offered me yet but I hope that happens soon.
"I am not sure what will happen but someone will get a tackle that plays hard on every play."
Last season as a junior Anderson recorded 60 tackles and four sacks.
