D’Imperio to take all five visits

Sewell (N.J.) Washington Township three-star inside linebacker / tight end Hugh D’Imperio still has two leaders, but plans to take all five visits before making a decision. Who are the other schools getting visits, and do they stand a chance for his signature?
“Michigan State and Virginia Tech are still my top two, but I am going to take all my visits before I decide,” he explained. “I have set up visits to North Carolina, Tennessee, (in addition to his top two) and will probably go to Minnesota.

“It’s down to those two right now, but anything can happen. I am just going to check everything out. I am looking for when they want me to play, what the campus is like, and if they have what I want to major in.” All of his top schools have extended scholarship offers except Tennessee, but the Vols gave him a verbal offer over the telephone.
Hugh is unsure of the dates for North Carolina and Tennessee, but will visit Michigan State on Dec. 12 and has a tentative date set for Virginia Tech on Dec. 5. If Washington Township makes it to the state championship game, the visit will be rescheduled for January. He plans to attend the Temple-Virginia Tech game this weekend unofficially.
So what stands out to Hugh about his top two favorites?
“They have been recruiting me hardest and the coaches have been calling since May,” he commented. “They seem like they really want me.”
At 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds, with a 4.6-second 40-yard dash and 31-inch vertical leap, D’Imperio is rated the No. 17 inside linebackers in the country by Rivals.com. He is unsure of his tackle total, but has two interceptions and three sacks on the season. He was named all-state, all-area and all-South Jersey as a junior.
