D’Imperio names top school

Sewell (N.J.) Washington Township inside linebacker / tight end Hugh D’Imperio wrapped up his visit tour over the weekend with a trek down south, and was blown away by the experience. He visited Tennessee and went home with a new leader.
“It was nice, really nice,” he commented. “The players were all good guys, and they all seemed to like you.

“I liked the stadium, the people, everything. It is a different world down there.” He was hosted by sophomore tight end Justin Reed and rated the visit a ten.
D’Imperio had a visit scheduled next weekend to Minnesota, but decided to cancel that trip, leaving only Virginia Tech on Jan. 30. He had already visited Michigan State, but said the Tennessee visit topped his visit to East Lansing.
“My first trip was good, too, but this one was better,” he said. “They really did it up (at Tennessee). Everything was so good.”
The trip was so good the Vols emerged as his new leader, but he plans to take his last trip before making a decision.
“Tennessee is No. 1, with Michigan State and Virginia Tech right behind them,” he said.
D’Imperio is rated the No. 17 inside linebacker in the country by Rivals.com. He stands 6-foot-5, weighs 230 pounds, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds.
