D-Day weekend for CCSF stars

When you think of quality junior college football programs especially on the west coast one school that always comes to mind is City College San Francisco.
City College San Francisco has had more than their fair share of D-I prospects and this season is no different. There is one player that has certainly has the attention of recruitniks from across the country and that is lockdown cover corner Chijioke Onyenegeche (photo) (6-2, 200, 4.3).

Onyenegeche has been one of the most sought after corners on the JUCO level this season. Up to last week it looked like it was going to be a two school battle between FSU and Oklahoma.
That of course was before ASU became a player within the last two week and the Sun Devils are in the thick of it for this talented corner.
As matter of fact it is now a two horse race for Onyenegeche services. "Chijioke has decided not to attend Florida State," CCSF head coach George Rush said. "He's down to Oklahoma and Arizona State."
Whoever lands Onyenegeche gets a press cover corner that plays man all game long. He’s an impact player and one of the few five star ranked JUCO prospects by Rivals.
“I think I will have could have between 12 to 15 players sign D-I scholarships on Wednesday (LOI day February 5th),” Rush said. “We have a lot of players who are still taking trips.”
“The only player who has already committed is offensive lineman Dan Christian (6-6, 330, 5.2),” Rush said. “Dan pledged to Texas Tech.”
Christian is a December grad and has 3x2 years of eligibility for TTU.
CCSF has two wide receivers that could be making announcements this weekend in Willie Dixon (6-0, 190, 4.4) and Rob Johnson (6-0, 185, 4.4).
Dixon was a big time recruit who signed with Miami a few years ago. Dixon will be visiting San Diego State this weekend (January 31st) and he would fit in great in the Aztec high octane offense.
Johnson will be visiting Temple (January 31st).
