D.C. WR hearing from bigger names

Wide receiver Marcus Barnett out of Washington (D.C.) St. John's has recently received mail from some big name schools.
The 6-foot-1, 160-pounder with an impressive 4.55-second 40-yard dash has gotten mail from Florida State, Miami and Virginia recently.

"Miami peaks my interest, because that's the school I want to go to," he said. "I would say they are my favorite right now."
So if Miami offered would he commit immediately?
"If Miami offered, yes I would commit early, or if Florida State offered," he said. "That's where I want to go, but I don't know about any others schools. I probably would consider committing early though."
Barnett's coach has also heard from Maryland.
"My coach talked to them and they want me to come to their camp."
Barnett claims he does have a few offers on the table right now, but they aren't for football.
"I have offers from some schools that I'm not too interested in going to," he said. "Probably about two or three offers though for track, because of my high jump."
This spring Barnett just finished the basketball season and is starting to run track and working out with the football team.
"It was ok, we had a good season in basketball," he said. "I did alright, I'm not sure what I was averaging, but probably about six to eight points a game."
This spring Barnett is considering attending on of the Nike Camps.
As for this summer, he's looking at camps at Maryland and Virginia and has talked with a semi-professional team about working out with them.
Barnett has also seen interest from Maryland and Texas A&M.
Last season, the wide receiver was named second team all-WCAC as a junior.
