Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga inside linebacker Kory Gedin has been to one school this spring and is on the verge of receiving his first offer from another.
“I’ve been to Florida and talked to the coaches there. I really liked it down there. My coach says that Penn State is close to offering as well,” said the 6-foot-2, 233-pounder. “I would say if I had to name two favorites it would be Florida and Virginia right now, but it’s still early.”
Gedin, who couldn’t make a NIKE Camp this spring due to track obligations, also likes Penn State, Florida State, North Carolina, Michigan, Ohio State and Texas.
“So far, Penn State, Florida, Marshall, Dartmouth and Virginia have been at my school,” he said. “Also, Southern Cal and Georgia are coming as well but I don’t know who else. It’s getting busy.”
Gedin, one of the top linebackers in the Atlantic area, will camp at Florida State, Virginia and a one-day mini-camp at North Carolina.
“I might go one other place as well but I’m not sure,” he said. “I was interested in Maryland at first but it’s only 15 minutes from home and I think I want to go to another area.”
