D.C. cornerback has MAC offer

Cornerback Vontae Davis out of Washington (D.C) Dunbar is still holding a lone offer from Kent State, but he's received plenty of mail from the ACC and SEC among others and is just waiting to hear from coaches this summer.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder has recently received mail from Clemson, Vanderbilt, North Carolina and Maryland.

"Those are the main schools who are contacting me, mostly local schools," he said. "Maryland has been the most aggressive, which I've been getting stuff from them everyday."
Other schools Davis has heard from include Illinois, Michigan State, North Carolina State and Penn State.
Does Davis have any favorites yet?
"Not really yet, I'm just trying to keep my options open right now."
This spring Davis is staying busy with spring training and running track.
"We're pretty good this year in track," he said. "We're hitting records at Dunbar, we've had some of the fastest times as far as teams times in school history. I'm doing weight lifting Tuesdays and Thursdays and I'm running track practice too. So my whole weeks is full, I'm keeping busy."
This spring Davis plans to attend the Nike Camp at Penn State as well as camps at Illinois and the Elite College Combine.
Last season, Davis was named all-league and all-city as he hauled in six interceptions on the year.
