D.C. corner claims offers

Offers are starting to come in for cornerback Jordan Smith. The Washington (D.C.) H.D. Woodson prospect claims three offers to date and more schools are moving in.
"I have a lot of interest that has come in since I came over to H.D. Woodson," he said. "Colorado, Kansas and Ohio State have offered. I got those last week.

"I'm just taking my time through the process, looking at all the schools, looking at the campuses, the defense, the coaching staff and how they can fit me since I'm graduating early in January 2013."
Do any of the offers impress?
"All of the schools that have shown interest in me I'm looking at, I'm checking out the football prestige, the location and more. I haven't set up any visits yet though."
In addition to the offers, Smith has Illinois, Syracuse, Maryland and Penn State interested.
"I just want the best place for me, somewhere academics are strong and the location is strong too. I want a very family-oriented coaching staff."
Smith posted 90 tackles and five interceptions for Archbishop Carroll last year as he earned first team all-district.
"I think what stands out about my game are my hips, feet and that I'm very fluid. I can go up and get the ball. I've got good ball skills and I'm not afraid to tackle."
