Cyclones nab Florida LB

Iowa State just landed a three-star prospect from the Sunshine State. The Cyclones picked up linebacker Jeremiah George from Clearwater. George, 5-11 and 210 pounds, committed to the Iowa State coaches earlier this evening.
"Yes, I committed to Iowa State around 9:30," George said. "I feel good about the program and I want to be a part of it. I talked with coach (Shane) Burnham and tomorrow I amcalling coach (Paul) Rhoads tomorrow."

Something else that was very attractive to George was the opportunity to play for defensive coordinator Wally Burnham.
"I mean there are so many different things I like about Iowa State but one of the main reasons I picked them was because of coach (Wally) Burnham. He's both their defensive coordinator and linebacker coach. I have grown used to that here at Clearwater and it's something I am very comfortable with.
"I also love that the student-athlete graduation rate at Iowa State is at 79%. They take care of their athletes.
"They also didn't put on a show for us and we saw how they really are. The coaching staff is great and the community is nice. I felt at home."
Clearwater is 5-3 on the season and they face Palm Harbor this weekend.
