Houston Cypress Ridge is headlined by superstar Russell Shepard, but three other Rams are on pace to earn Division I scholarships.
Running back Hasan Lipscomb is headed to Minnesota, while offensive lineman Keenan Flax is headed to the University of North Texas.
"I'd say he's a soft commitment right now," coach Gary Thiebaud said. "He's getting some more looks right now. Missouri and Iowa State have offered him and Arkansas is getting close. He's a great player who is very young for his grade. He's 17 years old, so his best football is ahead of him."
Also on the recruiting radar is linebacker Princeton Jackson, who is receiving sincere interest from Iowa State and Houston.
"Princeton is our leading tackler and can really run from the linebacker position," Thiebaud said. "He's going to get something big before signing day."
On the horizon is sophomore safety Nick Shepard, who is Russell's brother.
"He's going to be big-time when his time comes," he said.
