Cutler closing in on first offer

Three-star quarterback Corwin Cutler of Virginia Beach (Va.) Ocean Lakes has been very patient with his recruiting process, but now he is hoping that all of his hard work will soon pay off. Cutler is hoping that his first offer will come tomorrow from an ACC program.
"Recruiting has been going great," said Cutler. "Virginia is supposedly offering me tomorrow so we'll see how that goes. I found this out through my coaches. Virginia has been on me since my freshman year and they really like me."

Aside from Virginia, several other programs are also showing serious interest.
"I'm also getting serious interest from Rutgers, N.C. State, Florida State, Virginia Tech and Florida," said Cutler, who is 6-foot-3 and 190-pounds.
Earlier today Cutler took his skills to the NUC Five Star event in New Jersey.
"I came to the event because I wanted to compete with the best athletes on the East Coast," said Cutler. "Overall I think I did very well. I had good ball placement and I was hitting receivers in stride. "
Cutler's last visit was to Virginia for their Junior Day and will next hit the road to check out Virginia Tech's spring game. He has no summer camps scheduled at this time, but will participate at the Rivals/VTO Camp next weekend in Virginia.
In the meantime he is also busy preparing for this fall.
"So far I'm spending my off-season in the classroom and I'm doing more agility work so that I'll be good for my senior year and ready for college," said Cutler. "I just want to get my ball out a little bit faster. I have a good release, but I just want to get the ball out a little bit faster and make things happen."
