ATLANTA, Ga., -- If there is one school junior running back Travis Custis of Hampton (Ga.) Lovejoy wants an offer from, it's Miami.
The reason?

"That's my dream school," Custis said. "I like the program a lot. When I was a little kid, I used to always watch Miami play on TV."
The good news for the 6-feet, 205-pound Custis, who is competing this week in the RisingSeniors.com Georgia Junior Bowl, is that apparently Miami appears to have a strong interest in him as well.
"They're looking at me," Custis said. "They need a big running back. I've visited there. I went there in November [to a game]. I think they're [fixing] to offer. They said, 'Keep up the good work. Do what you do, and we might offer you.' "
To date, Custis, who rushed for 1,895 yards and 34 touchdowns in 2011 while helping lead Lovejoy to the state finals, has offers from Boston College, Michigan State, Mississippi State, USF and Vandy. Besides Miami, Alabama and Georgia also are showing interest, he said.
Of the group that has offered, one program stands out.
Mississippi State.
"I've been there a couple times and they treated me like I'm royalty there," Custis said. "I went in their office, and talked to the head coach a couple times. "
At this stage, Custis has no leaders.
"It's too early," he said.
Asked if Miami would shoot to the top should it offer, Custis replied, "I think so."
In Atlanta this week, Custis, who said he's a "long way" from committing anywhere, isn't worried about his recruitment. His focus is on getting better.
"What I need to work on is staying focused, keep improving my footwork and that's about it," Custis said.
