Cushing visits Miami, Florida next

Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic linebacker Brian Cushing took his official visit to Miami this past Friday and Saturday and is now on his way to Gainesville, Fla. for an official with the Gators. How was Miami?
"It was cool, I had a good time," said the 6-foot-4, 235-pounder. "I was hosted by Greg Olsen who's from New Jersey and I got to speak with a lot of the players and coaches. Coach Coker said that they wouldn't redshirt me even though they are bringing in a lot of linebackers this year, so that was good to hear.

"I realize now that competition will be everywhere and I can't really worry about that. I like my position coach (Vernon Hargreaves) and I know coach Cristobol. It's a little different down here than I'm used to, but it was good."
Next up for Cushing is a trip to Florida.
"I'm exhausted," he laughed. "So I'll probably just relax when I get there and check things out and then go out tonight. I leave Monday night so I don't have a ton of time to look around, but I plan on seeing everything I need to."
Cushing has already been on official visits to Louisville and Southern Cal and his last official visit is still up in the air.
"It's scheduled for Virginia next weekend (Jan. 28) and I'm going to figure that out when I get back," he said. "It will be either Virginia or BC I think. But Notre Dame is still in there as well when it comes to my top choices."
Cushing will make his decision on Signing Day on ESPNews.
