Cuse still early favorite for DE

Clifton (Va.) Centreville defensive end prospect Andrew Lewis has received quite a bit of attention following what he felt was a top notch workout at the NIKE camp in Charlottesville last month. The 6-foot-3, 250-pound standout was an all-district selection as a junior.
“Recruiting has been sky high for me after the NIKE camp, but no offers lately,” Lewis said.

Lewis does hold a lone offer from Syracuse at this point, but more offers could be on the way in the coming weeks.
“A lot of coaches have visited Centreville and a lot of them have heard of me, but haven't seen me in real life, for example Nebraska and Wake Forest,” explained Lewis. “Maryland said they were interested and they want me to come to their one-day camp.
"I have visited Syracuse and North Carolina’s spring game. Virginia, Maryland, Nebraska, North Carolina, and Wake Forest seem to be showing the most interest. Out of all the non offers, North Carolina is showing the most interest. I plan on going to the North Carolina and Syracuse camp over the summer.”
Lewis, who should have no problems qualifying with a 2.9 GPA and 1,120 on the SAT, had 50 tackles to go along with six sacks last season for head coach Mike Skinner’s squad. A linebacker in high school, Lewis is only now beginning to grow into his role as defensive end at the collegiate level.
