Curtis wants to be part of something

When talking about the top players in the state of Oklahoma, if you fail to mention the name of Ted Curtis of Moore, Okla., you’d be sadly mistaken. He’s also one of the top players that has committed to one of college football’s up and coming programs.
“I committed to Tulsa last weekend when I was there on an official visit,” said Curtis, a two-star selection that is 6-foot-1 and 220 pounds.

“They recruited me for what they call their R position. It’s a cross between a running back and a slot receiver. The guy in front of me will be Garrett Mills, and he was like their leading receiver this year.
“That means I will get plenty of opportunities to get my hands on the football and run a lot of passing routes.”
Curtis said Tulsa came on recently in the last three or four months of the recruiting process and they beat out teams like Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas and Missouri for his commitment. While the Golden Hurricane were his lone early offer others were sure to offer in the end.
“I was really impressed with the turnaround of the program,” Curtis said. “I want to be part of something like that. I’m going to hop on and help them.”
