Cunningham blowing up in Ohio

A lot of the attention early on in the recruiting process at Westerville (Ohio) South has been focused on quarterback Rocco Pentello. However, receiver B.J. Cunningham is also getting plenty of attention and at this time has five offers to mull over.
"I already had offers from Miami of Ohio and Toledo," Cunningham, who is 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, said.

"I've gotten new offers from Cincinnati, Ball State and Akron. Coach Pentello took me and Rocco down to Cincinnati recently.
"We just watched practice, toured the facilities and they have nice facilities. They offered me while I was down there. I got to talk to coach Dantonio and the staff, and they seemed really cool."
Up next is an unofficial visit to Miami today, Ball State on Friday and then Penn State on April 22. He's also playing AAU basketball this summer and will attend football camps at Ohio State and several other one-day stops. He plans to be at the Columbus NIKE Training Camp on May 5.
All of the recruiting stuff is fun and exciting Cunningham said, but his main focus remains on his senior season.
"My No. 1 goal is to go to the playoffs," he said. "I also want to win our league championship, get all-district, all-state and all-conference honors. I also really want to become a better football player."
Ball State, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, North Carolina and Wisconsin have also been linked with Cunningham early in the recruiting process.
