Cumberland makes another Big Ten visit

Columbus (Ohio) Brookhaven tight end Jeff Cumberland made an official visit to Minnesota in mid-December. He visited Illinois this weekend.
"It went pretty good," Cumberland said. "I liked it. I felt comfortable there. I felt like I was in the game with the players."

Cumberland felt like he was back in Columbus in some ways.
"I felt like they do things (at Illinois) kind of like we do at Brookhaven," Cumberland said. "The players and coaches were real nice."
In addition to Illinois and Minnesota, Cumberland also visited Marshall.
"All three were nice," he said. "I might visit someone next week, but I don't know who."
Cumberland said he does not have a favorite.
"I'll decide sometime in the next week or so," he said.
The 6-foot-6 and 220-pound Cumberland is the No. 19 athlete prospect in the Rivals.com player rankings. He could play tight end or wide receiver in college.
