Cuero prospect grabs early offers

Cuero (Texas) High School prospect Kaeron Johnson is being recruited by programs from several different conferences and has emerged as a sought-after prospect.
The 6-foot-2, 260-pound defensive end/linebacker prospect was a Class 3A second-team, all-state selection as a junior, and has received offers from Houston, Missouri, Rice and Colorado State thus far in the recruiting process. His teammate Justin Freeman signed with Houston this February as an offensive lineman.

"I'm looking for good academics and a good college atmosphere," Freeman said. "I'm going to take my time and make a good decision.
"Some schools are recruiting me as a tight end and some as a linebacker. It doesn't matter to me, I just want to play."
Johnson will be taking in more camps this summer including Rice and Missouri.
