Cuero has a shot

MIAMI, Fla. - The Miami area has an abundance of talented senior wide receivers who should go on to play college football. Another name likely to join that list over the coming months is Miami (Fla.) South Miami wide receiver Andrew Cuero.
"I have received interest from Oklahoma State, Marshall, Miami, Ohio, Toledo, Western Michigan, and Western Kentucky," Cuero said.

At this point in his recruitment, the 5-foot-11, 155-pound wideout has yet to hit the road.
"I haven't taken any trips yet," Cuero said. "I was supposed to go to Ohio State with A.J. (Amos) Leggett this weekend but we are not going. I think most likely next week I am going to visit Marshall."
He is working to make sure his academics are in order so he doesn't encounter any obstacles with trying to accomplish his dream of playing college football.
"I am about to take my SAT," Cuero said. "I am just trying to make sure I have everything right on the field and off it with my academics. After that I will really start setting visits up."
At this point, the Sunshine State prospect likes an out-of-state program a great deal.
"I like Oklahoma State a lot," Cuero said. "They have been sending me a lot of letters. I am going to try to get there."
Cuero, who contributes on both offense and defense, has 23 receptions for 367 yards and four touchdowns as a senior. South Miami has advanced to the second round of the state playoffs.
