The 6-foot-2, 180-pounde Cuba is not giving a lot away with his favorite schools. His mother told Rivals.com this evening that he is telling her about official visits. At this point, Cuba and his mother know that four schools will get trips in the coming weeks.
"I know he's taking one to Oklahoma State, one to Texas A&M, Nebraska, and Texas Tech," Cuba's mother said. "On Jan. 19, that's for sure the Texas A&M visit. I'm wanting to say the following week is the one to Oklahoma State, but I don't know for sure."
Cuba's mother says that her son isn't exactly forthcoming with his favorite school. He is doing a lot of talking with his older brother.
"He won't tell me," Cuba's mother said with a laugh. "It's like when Signing Day comes, they'll know when I know. He's just not saying anything. I think he's talking to his big brother since he's been to that next level.
"I don't care. I just want him to go wherever he's going to get a great education and be happy."
As for qualifying, his mother says they're just getting ready to get final transcripts.
"Everything should be fine because he's done well in all of his classes," Cuba's mother said. "He just needs to finish up his last semester and graduate. That's all there is left to do."
