CU in charge for Charles

Keller, Texas, all-purpose back Hugh Charles is one of the best small backs in the Midlands Region and he’s starting to get the attention from the college coaches to prove it – including four scholarship offers.
Charles, who is 5-foot-7 and 182 pounds, is sitting on offers from Colorado, Kansas, Arizona and Houston and he’s hoping to earn more at this point.

“I’m still waiting and trying to decide,” he said. “I want to make a decision before the season starts because I want to have my decision out of the way and that would allow me to focus on the season. I like Colorado and Kansas a lot.”
But he does have a favorite between those two.
“Colorado is a big one for me right now,” he said. “I’ve not really been up there, but I’m good friends with Walter Boye-Doe. I’m going to take a visit when school starts to look around, but I could pick before then, too.”
Charles said he’s hoping to earn a scholarship offer from Oklahoma – where he camped at this summer.
“I wouldn’t mind hearing more from Oklahoma,” he said. “I wouldn’t mind that at all, but I also want to go to a school that wants me.”
Charles said he’s going to make one more camp visit this summer, a trip to Fayetteville, Ark., for the Hawgs invite-only senior camp.
“I’m hoping that goes well for me,” he said. “I’m going to impress them and everybody that’s recruiting me.”
