Position: Defensive End
Size and Speed: Campbell is 6-foot-7 and 225-pounds. He has been timed at 4.80 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
Statistics: As a junior, Campbell recorded 104 tackles and 19 quarterback sacks.
Honors: Campbell was the only junior named to the All-Colorado squad.
Favorite Schools: When looking for a school, Campbell need to look no further than in the state’s borders. Both Colorado and Colorado State are high on the list at this point. But they aren’t alone. Oregon, Stanford, Michigan, Michigan State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Missouri, LSU are all expressing a high interest in Campbell at this time.
Skinny: Campbell’s older brother, Ciarre, is headed to Colorado State this fall as part of a grayshirt program on Sonny Lubick’s team.
“My brother is at Colorado State,” the younger Campbell said. “But that doesn’t mean I’m going to go there too. I will consider that, but it won’t be the only item I look at.”
With the build of his body, the opportunity to bulk up and play an interior line position would seem a likely move.
“The schools I’m talking to want to have me on the outside still,” Campbell said. “Right now, I would say that is my preference too.”
Campbell is preparing to attend Colorado’s junior day this weekend.
“I’m looking forward to going over there. It should be a good opportunity. Right now, that is the only camp I have planned of any kind. I’m looking at some for this summer, but nothing is decided right now.”
Going into the weekend, Lubick’s team is the only team to have laid a scholarship offer on the table for the younger Campbell.
