Cruse cruises to Wisconsin

Three-star defensive tackle Gino Cruse (6-5, 315, 4.85) from Phoenix (Ariz.) Desert Vista has thrown his hat into the ring with the Wisconsin Badgers and cruise to Madison to further his education and football career.
Cruse chose the Badgers over offers from Oregon State and Arizona. He has a verbal offer from Washington but the Huskies kind of dropped off him after his tremendous camp performance.

In seven games of action fighting through double teams, Cruse has 42 tackles, six sacks, four batted passes, two fumble recoveries and one interception.
“I have a lot of quarterback pressures,” Cruse said. “But I’m not sure of the number.”
When asked why Cruse committed to Wisconsin the youngster was very exuberant.
“I have one response to that question,” Cruse said. “Who wouldn’t want to play for a Big 10 school?”
“I took an unofficial visit to Wisconsin when they played Ohio State,” Cruse said. “The team was really together and the school has great fan support.”
“I believe fans can help you win games for you,” Cruse said. “The Badger fans never gave up hope.”
“Another reason I chose Wisconsin is I wanted to get a long way from home,” Cruse said. “And my parents are Wisconsin alums and they are very happy.”
