Crunkleton makes his decision

In a tight battle among a trio of Pac 10 schools, Denver (Colo.) Mullen defensive Grant Crunkleton committed to Arizona State over UCLA and Oregon.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound Crunkelton actually committed to the Sun Devil coaches this past Sunday, but told us at the time he wanted to hold off on making it public until he could tell the other coaches of his decision.

"I just felt most comfortable at ASU," Crunkelton said. "I actually knew ASU was the place for me for awhile now, even before I visited Oregon but I still wanted to take my trip and try and keep an open mind to everything. Oregon was great and so was UCLA, all three are great schools but like I said, comfort level and my relationship with the coaches was probably strongest at ASU."
Crunkelton was recruited as a cover corner and is an explosive player. He picked off seven passes this past year, including two in the state title game win to go along with over 100 tackles. Academically, he's carrying a 3.0 GPA and scored a 22 on the ACT.
