Columbus (Ohio) Hamilton Township class of 2014 athlete Micky Crum worked out at quarterback in several off-season camps, but this fall he lines up at running back and linebacker with college teams watching his progress.
The 6-foot-4, 212-pound Crum picked up his first offer from Bowling Green over the summer and has an early top three of BCS schools.
"My top three is Wisconsin, Michigan and Pitt right now," Crum said.
Pitt was one of two schools Crum camped at this summer, and the Panthers coaches said they will be watching his on-field and academic progress this fall in consideration for an offer.
Crum is looking to make fall game visits to Bowling Green, Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio State and Michigan.
Hamilton Township won 55-25 in their season opener last weekend, with Crum recording a sack and scored a touchdown. He also expects to see some action at defensive end this fall, but his college position is wide open.
"Right now it is between tight end and linebacker, but senior year I will be quarterback so I could get some stuff for quarterback too," Crum said. "I can play anywhere and it doesn't matter to me."
