Croom making travel plans

After a productive spring in practice, camps and 7-on-7 events, the offers continue to pour in for junior receiver Jason Croom of Norcross (Ga.).
"Georgia State offered [Tuesday]," Croom said. "Florida State offered [Monday]."

For those keeping score, the 6-foot-4, 220-pound Croom now has 15 offers. He thinks there is a chance the Georgia Bulldogs could be next.
"[Assistant coach Bryan McClendon] has been hitting me up on Facebook," Croom said. "I'm going down there this Thursday for a passing league. He was like, 'You better not be scared when you come to your future home.'"
According to Croom, he didn't make any visits this spring. Now, he intends to hit the road often during the next few months.
"I'm going to Mississippi State June 3," Croom said. "On June 14, I'm going to Tennessee in the morning, then we're driving back here in the afternoon and flying to Miami. On the 19th, I'm going to FSU. That's all I've got so far. I'm not doing any camps [at those schools]; I'm just going to visit. In July, I think I'm going to Auburn, LSU and Southern Miss. And I may end up going to an Alabama camp."
What will Croom be looking for on these trips?
"I want to see what the coaches are like in person," Croom said. "I want to meet some of the players, too. I'm going to ask the players how the coaches are. You know how coaches get. They sweet talk you until you commit. I don't want that. I'd rather them be straight up with me."
At this stage, Croom claims to have no favorites. However, he did say Miami and Mississippi State are recruiting him the hardest.
Croom plans to take all five official visits this fall.
He said to expect a commitment from him sometime between the middle and end of the 2011 season.
