Crockett LB heads to MAC

Detroit Crockett is a program that many people think as being a one-man team because of five-star linebacker Brandon Graham. However, college coaches are finding out there is plenty of talent there at the school – just ask Ball State.
It's the Cardinals that have snagged a commitment from two-star linebacker Robert Eddins, a 6-foot-2, 193-pound linebacker from Crockett. Eddins visited Ball State this weekend and came away impressed enough to give coach Eric Lewis a commitment.

"Coach Lewis is probably the biggest reason why I committed," Eddins said. "He is a real likeable guy. He's been on me the longest, and he took time away from his family to call me around Thanksgiving. That meant a lot to me.
"I also liked the visit a lot. The coaches and the players were honest with me. That was another one of my big things. Everybody there was exceptional."
Eddins said he left the visit with no other plans to take other official visits, but his mother said she would like him to at least check out a few more schools. He said visits to Akron, Bowling Green and Toledo are likely on the docket.
