Crist impressive in action last weekend

We had a chance to check out Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame and star quarterback Dayne Crist in action last Friday. The five star signal caller showed his new rating was justified as he looked better than we've seen in him in two years.
Crist and his Knight teammates cruised to a 33-6 win over La Canada (Calif.) St. Francis. The Elite 11 quarterback finished the night 17-27 for 248 yards and four touchdowns with some very nice runs mixed in as well.

At 6-5, 230 pounds, Crist has great size and looks like a college quarterback right now. He showed a very live arm and was spinning it consistently all night. A handful of his incompletions were drops by his receivers as they weren't able to handle the velocity of some of Crist's passes.
Mechanically, Crist looked good and showed very nice touch and also did a nice job of moving around in the pocket to buy himself more time. Crist's athleticism is underrated and he's great making that first guy miss and throws very well on the run.
"This was a great game for us, our offense was very balanced tonight," Crist said following the game. "Thaddeus Brown ran great, our line blocked well and our receivers did a great job getting open. It just seemed like everything was clicking."
Crist also told us he's still very happy with his commitment to Notre Dame and anxious to get to South Bend.
"Yeah, I'm definitely excited," Crist said. "I know the season isn't going as well as expected but I still like the direction of the program and the recruiting class we have coming in. I think we'll be able to turn things around pretty quickly."
