Criss making the rounds

It's an interesting situation for one football-oriented family in the talent filled state of Texas at a prized tradition-rich high school like Arlington (Texas) Bowie.
Coach Anthony Criss at Bowie is also the father of one hot name streaking up the recruiting charts – Dominique Criss. With camps being attended right this moment, both Dominique and his father are taking in the sights having already seen LSU and Oklahoma with Oklahoma State up next followed by SMU and Baylor.

"It's pretty neat," Criss said about his son's recruitment as his coach. "I'm used to dealing with all the schools recruiting my kids, but it's a little different when it's your own son. The weird thing is that I already know most of the coaches that are recruiting him so I don't get into the typical stuff like I would if I was a coach."
"I go to these camps with him as his parent, not his coach."
Whether it's coach Criss or "dad," the coach has plenty to be excited about with his talented son and player holding offers from some top programs such as LSU, Oklahoma State, Minnesota, Colorado and others.
"After the tour we'll be deciding before school starts," Criss said about the decision time-frame for Dominique. "He's just going to these camps a day at a time and then we'll sit down as parents to talk about it with him.
Though coach Criss said that as a coach he always keeps it open on his personal preferences about certain schools, his fatherly instincts really kicked in after a trip to Louisiana.
"I'll tell you what, LSU was a school that I was super impressed with," he said. "Just their academic situation there for student athletes was tremendous."
