Cretin-Derham lineman adds 3rd offer

St. Paul, Minn. offensive line prospect Ted Navale (6-foot-3, 305 pounds) has just landed his third scholarship offer this spring, as the University of Illinois offered Tavale last Friday.
"I received an offer from the University of Illinois on Friday," Ted Navale said. "The Illinois coaches made an in school visit earlier this month, and they stayed with my coach and watched tape. I've talked to the coaches on the phone, and then on Friday I received the scholarship paperwork in the mail."

Tavale has received four calls so far during the May evaluation period. "I've gotten phone calls from Iowa, Iowa State, Oregon and Illinois." In school visitors you ask? "(Laughing) We've had so many college coaches in school so far I've lost track. I'm not trying to sound arrogant at all, but we've been a really busy place this spring for college coaches for myself, Reggie (Rock) and Rafael (Eubanks)."
So what are Ted Natale's thoughts on the three schools that have offered him to this point? "The U (Minnesota) was my first offer, and they are the in-state Big Ten school, so it was great to land an offer from them so early."
Iowa State? "Iowa State's offer sort of came from nowhere to be honest. I know that the coaches requested tape on me earlier, and they must have liked what they saw because the offer was sort of unexpected because I hadn't seen much mail from them. I like the coaches at Iowa State and I'm giving them serious consideration.
Illinois? "I don't know a lot about the Illini to be honest, but my coaches have told me that they have a very good program and it's a sound school academically. I'm planning to study Pre-Law in college so I'm going to do some research on Illinois."
Has Tavale started to set his summer camp plans yet? "I'm looking to camp at the U as well as Iowa this summer. I also have a ton of family out in California, I was born in Salinas, and I've also signed up for the USC summer camp. I would love to get some recruiting interest from out West since I have family there, and location isn't a big factor for me at all."
