Crawley down to two

Pittsburg (Calif.) wide out Jason Crawley took his first official visit to UNLV this past weekend but is still waiting to find out if he has a scholarship offer. He'll take a trip to Fresno State this weekend and should be ready to decide by early next week.
Crawley, 6-2, 170 pounds is a very talented athlete who had a solid showing at the NorCal Nike Camp. The athlete clocked a 4.72 in the 40, 4.34 in the shuttle and jumped 34 inches in the vertical and also looked good in the position and one on one drills.

He didn't get a chance to show what he could as a receiver this past season as he was forced to play quarterback.
"We didn't have anyone else," Crawley said. "I had fun with it though and we had a good season. We made it to the section finals and only lost two games all year, both to De La Salle. I thought this would be the year for us to get them but they're always tough to beat."
Crawley said he didn't feel like the move hurt him in terms of his overall recruitment.
"No not at all," Crawley said. "I think if anything, it should have helped me. It showed I was willing to sacrifice for the betterment of the team. It also showed my versatility, I showed I could do more than just run around and catch passes. I really don't it hurt me at all having to play quarterback."
Crawley visited UNLV last weekend and said he really liked it a lot.
"Yeah, that was a fun trip," Crawley said. "I like the coaching staff their a lot and got along well with all the players. I think they have a program that can turn the corner and I just liked the overall energy of the place. They didn't offer me though. They said they're waiting on one other receiver and if he goes elsewhere, I'll have a scholarship.
"I'm going to visit Fresno State this week no matter what happens with that offer. These are the only two schools I'm looking at and Fresno State has offered me. It would be great to know if I have an offer from UNLV before I go out there but either way, I'm planning to make my decision sometime next week after I get back."
