Crawford making waves

League City (Texas) Clear Falls 2017 defensive tackle Jordan Crawford has yet to draw his first offer, but he does have the attention of Florida State and Louisville.
The 6-foot-1, 295-pound defensive tackle has a few ties to the Seminole program. He camped in Tallahassee the past two summers, and his father Vernon Crawford was a standout linebacker at Florida State during the 1995 and 1996 seasons.

He has already grown familiar with the atmosphere and the coaches at Florida State, and he has enjoyed his experiences over the last few years.
"It's pretty fun most of the time. There's a lot of rain, but it's sunny sometimes," Crawford said. "They like to joke around and call me little Vernon because I look so much like him."
He plans to return to Florida State for camp this summer and he also has plans to attend TCU, Texas Tech, Houston, and Miami camps.
As a sophomore, Crawford was a unanimous first-team all-district selection, and he has high expectations as he prepares for the 2015 season.
"My goals are to make first team all-district again and possibly state," Crawford said. "I'd really like for my whole team to win state."
It is easy to say the words, but Crawford has been putting in a lot of work to improve his skillset. He has focused on improving a few aspects of his game.
"Using my hands more and getting in front of the ball," Crawford said, "And putting more pressure on the quarterback and making them throw interceptions."
