Crawford eyes two official visits

Dylan Crawford has taken a relaxed approach to the recruiting process the last few months as he has focused on getting everything in order to enroll early.
Miami and Michigan, though, have emerged as two likely visit destinations for the four-star wide receiver from Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita Catholic.

"I still don't have any dates or anything like that, so I'm still trying to get all the information and get in contact with the coaches to find out what the best time is to get out there," Crawford said. "I'm trying to set visits with Miami and Michigan, for sure. I haven't visited the new Michigan staff, so I'd like to do that.
"I have a great relationship with those guys. Coach (Jim) Harbaugh and coach (Tim) Drevno have been by our school and we have a great relationship."
Stanford and Oregon are two other attractive options for the Rivals100 prospect, particularly with the Cardinal holding a commitment from four-star quarterback K.J. Costello.
Crawford, though, said that relationship wouldn't be the ultimate deciding factor.
"K.J. is always on me and talking to other guys like Kaden Smith about convincing me," Crawford said. "We really communicate about the schools and talk about what we like or don't like about programs.
"It definitely plays a role, but I wouldn't say it's the deciding factor. I'll be going where I feel is the best place for me and it's my decision."
Oregon is another program to watch with Crawford, who visited campus last month, but the Ducks have yet to offer.
USC picked up commitments from wide receivers Michael Pittman and Trevon Sidney last week, and it appears that Tyler Vaughns is also leaning that way ahead of his announcement next month. Crawford said he hasn't had much communication with the Trojans lately but that's been the case with a lot of coaches.
"I've been busy with summer school because I'm trying to enroll early," Crawford said. "I've been focused on school. It's hard to get into recruiting and talk to a lot of coaches, but I'll be doing that again soon."
Crawford had 44 receptions for 1,006 yards and 13 touchdowns as a junior last fall at La Cañada (Calif.) St. Francis, averaging about 23 yards per catch.
