Cramer talks Rice official

Defensive tackle Bo Cramer made his first official visit a few weeks back to Rice. The 6-foot-4, 257-pounder out of Charlotte (N.C.) Country Day enjoyed his trip down to Houston.
"I took an official visit down there on the 1st and it was great," he stated. "I had a great time and they took us around, showed us the campus and I got to hang out with the players. I really liked the atmosphere and experience at the school.

I really liked the city of Houston a lot. The school itself has a great academic program and the team is on the rise. The new coaching staff is doing a great job."
While on the visit, Cramer spent a lot of time with the staff.
"I mainly was with coach Loepp and my parents and I liked him a lot," he said. "I also got to hang out with head coach Todd Graham. He is a very down-to-earth person and is the type of guy you want your head coach to be."
Rice is looking at Cramer to play defensive end.
"They told me I have a really good chance of playing early and being in the mix to start as a freshman," he said. "Since I've played football, I've always had to work to get on the field. It'd be nice to get a chance to play right away. That's definitely important to me."
Overall the two-star prospect likes what Rice has to offer.
"Rice is definitely up towards the top of my list," he said. "I'm taking a serious look at them and they secured themselves up there with this visit. The fact they are in Texas doesn't bother me because I do have family in Dallas."
At the moment, Cramer has no other official visits scheduled.
"I don't have any planned right now," he stated. "I'm trying to put film together since a lot of schools are asking for it.
"Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Duke, Northwestern, North Carolina and the Ivy League have been in contact with me. They all want to see film and then they'll make a decision."
As for a commitment, Cramer isn't sure.
"I don't really know what my timetable is," he said. "I'm definitely going to involve my parents and they want me to look at all my options, but I understand it's a business and I can't wait around too long either."
