Rivals250 wide receiver Adrian Coxson made it official today. The Baltimore (Md.) City College High prospect gave his pledge to the Big Ten.
"I committed to Penn State and coach Larry Johnson earlier today," he said. "He was very happy and very, very excited."
What made Coxson pick the Nittany Lions?
"I grew up a fan of them," he said. "It means everything to commit to Penn State today. You have to be a fan before you become a lion.
"Also, my family liked Penn State and it was the best place for us."
The coaches played a factor in Coxson's choice as well.
"I liked Coach Paterno and Coach Johnson," he said. "They have really good, down-to-earth personalities. I like that."
Coxson has high expectations when he arrives at Penn State.
"I'm going to help them win a national championship."
The four-star prospect selected Penn State over numerous other scholarships including Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Michigan and Notre Dame among many others.
