Cox sets visit No. 1

Four-star rated cornerback/wide receiver Perrish Cox has his first official visit in the books and to no one's surprise, it's to one of his top three teams.
Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and LSU have been leading the pack for some time and nothing has really changed there. Though, the 6-foot, 175-pound Cox is not ruling any school out, he has not been quiet about who he really likes. One team has turned up the recruiting heat on Cox and an official visit date followed that increased attention.

"Oklahoma State is set for Jan. 20," Cox said. "They've been hitting me hard and they've really been coming on me harder than anybody else. They just sent me a text message about the date and I called back and told them it worked for me."
LSU and Oklahoma are definite visit stops for Cox but he is not sure on those dates just yet. Though those three teams are the favorites and will get visits, he is not ruling any other team out.
"It's not a huge lead, but they've just been coming on me harder than any other school," Cox said. "I'll figure out how to narrow things down after my trips. Most likely the five visits I choose for officials will be the ones in the running for my commitment."
One thing he is very clear on is not making an early decision.
"I'm going through the season before I nail anything down," Cox said. "The decision will come after the season."
Notre Dame and Texas are two schools that have been hot on his trail but have yet to offer. If they do come across with a scholarship, Cox is not sure how it would change up his point of view towards the process.
"They've always just asked what I'm looking for in a school," he said. "If they did (offer), things might change but I wouldn't really know. They haven't done that yet so I'll deal with that if it happens."
Cox is rated the No. 8 cornerback and the No. 94 overall prospect in the country.
