Cox ready to name a leader

Waco (Texas) University has one stellar two-way cornerback and wide receiver Perrish Cox who is regarded as one of the top players in Texas.
With offers from numerous regional and national schools, Cox has quite the challenge of narrowing things down to a top three. However, he has had a trio of teams at the top in the past and the story remains the same.

"It's still Oklahoma State, Oklahoma and LSU," Cox said. "I'd say LSU is my No. 1 though right now. I don't know, it's just my top school."
The Tigers' running backs coach Larry Porter is due much of the credit for the early LSU lead.
"I talk to coach Porter a lot," Cox said. "We don't even talk about football sometimes, just about school. He's pretty cool."
As for summer plans, other than taking his ACT on June 11, the rest is wide open. His dad, who is helping with the recruiting process, is helping Cox with everything from visit dates to decision time.
"I'm going to wait and see what my dad says," Cox said. "He's going to help me choose. There isn't a favorite for him because he just said it's all up to me, but I like his help."
