Cox looks at camp schedules

Arizona and Arizona State have already offered 2013 outside linebacker Chans Cox from Lakeside (Ariz.) Blue Ridge and now the 6-foot-3, 220-pound prospect would like to attend some camps out of state to get more noticed.
Alabama, Nebraska, Oregon State among many others are showing interest in Cox and have invited him to camp there this summer. His schedule is still being figured out but the rising junior said he would like to take some trips to see what other schools have to offer.

"I would love to go to every camp, that's something I'd love to do, but it's really hard to get around," Cox said.
"I'm definitely going to Arizona and ASU. I'm going to those camps for sure. My dad and I want to get out of state somewhere but we don't know too much yet."
Coaches from Fresno State and BYU were expected to visit with Cox recently and he said both programs might offer at some point soon.
Since it's still so early in his recruitment, Cox said he's not sure when other offers will come in but he has talked with other prospects who were heavily recruited and he's targeting September as a possible starting date.
Good performances at summer camps could also help him gain more offers. Because it's so early, Cox is still looking everywhere.
"I'm still open to everybody," Cox said. "Anybody that is looking at me I'm still open to talking with them.
"I've talked to other players and I've gone to camps and they told me once you can get official offers other schools will come in and that's what I'm looking forward to."
In his sophomore season, Cox finished with 77 tackles. UCLA, Texas A&M and Oregon are three other programs that have kept in contact in recent months. He has targeted late in his junior season to possibly make a commitment.
