Cowboys offer Houston corner

During the previous recruiting cycle, Houston-area high school football power Westfield High produced no Division I-A football prospects. This year, that is not the case.
Cornerback Brodrick Brown recently joined Herman Mitchell, Jonathan Gimm and Brenel Myers as Westfield athletes Division I offers..

Brown, a three-year starter at cornerback, recently was offered by Oklahoma State.
"I was really surprised with the offer," he said. "They told me that they were happy with my speed and footwork. They told me that I was exactly what they are looking for in a corner."
Brown, whose brother Brandon Brown was a starter at Iowa State, is receiving interest from UTEP, Rice, Houston and Nebraska, in addition to the early offer from the Cowboys.
He's not ready to jump on board with anyone yet, though.
"I'm going up to Oklahoma's camp, UTEP and TCU's one-day camp in Houston," he said. "I'm not really close to a decision right now, but maybe something this summer."
