Cowboys are first for Grant

Like last year's Oklahoma State signee Jonathan Rush from Killeen, Texas, the first offer for this year's Killeen star David Grant is from a familiar place.
OSU has officially offered the 6-foot-6, 300-pound Grant according to coach Sam Jones. While Jones says he's not for sure about definite favorites, he admits that the Cowboys are up there on his list with a few other schools that are picking up their interest.

"Oklahoma State has an advantage because Jonathan Rush went up there last year and he and David are pretty good friends," Jones said. "That's a big possibility for him."
Jones says a decision could most likely happen during the summer or possibly later. The spring will be a big determining factor.
"I'm sure they'll be a bunch of people scouting him this spring when we start spring training," Jones said. "I'm sure that will determine what he does."
LSU and Arizona are both schools that are picking up the interest in Grant. His teammate, Alijawon White is also getting his fair share of attention as well.
"He's doing good also," Jones said about White. "It's just looks right now from schools, no offers, but he's going to go to the combines along with David and make something happen."
