Cowart claims a favorite

Cornerback T.J. Cowart out of Virginia Beach (Va.) Ocean Lakes holds two offers. The 5-foot-9, 175-pounder took an unofficial last weekend and now has a favorite.
"I went to (I-AA) Old Dominion," he said. "I went with my teammate over there and they offered me. It was a great visit. They are close to home and I just looked around since they are starting football in 2009. I got to see what they are going to do with the field."

Besides Old Dominion, Cowart holds an offer from Ohio.
"Right now I'd say ODU is higher up for me," he said. "I like that they are close to home and I could be one of the first players going through there.
"As for Ohio, I don't have anything scheduled, but I'm trying to go to one of their games sometime this season."
Meanwhile, the two-star prospect continues to hear from other schools who are requesting film including Virginia, Connecticut and Richmond.
Cowart has helped his team to a 4-0 record with a big game against Salem this week.
"Our offensive line is a bit shaky, but the defense has stepped up and is amazing," he said. "I think I've been doing great. I have three interceptions about 20 tackles and 300-yards rushing on offense."
