Cowan ready to make pick

HOOVER, Ala. -- It appears as though three-star receiver D'Arthur Cowan of Olive Branch (Miss.) is about to pull the trigger.
On Thursday, the 6-foot-1, 172-pounder told Rivals.com he is close to making a decision.

Real close.
It will come "probably either [Friday] or Saturday," Cowan said.
Who's in the hunt?
Apparently, only two programs.
"Arkansas and Mississippi State," Cowan said. "It's between those two schools."
All told, Cowan, the No. 10-ranked prospect in Mississippi, has seven offers, including one from Alabama. But for awhile, the Razorbacks and Bulldogs have been the teams to beat. Two weeks ago, Cowan actually named Arkansas his leader.
He visited the Razorbacks last weekend.
"It went great," Cowan said. "They wanted me to commit then. It's just wonderful to be up there. The feeling on campus … I just at the National Select 7-on-7 Championships he is close
feel at home. It's a great feeling up there."
Cowan also speaks highly of the Bulldogs.
"Mississippi State is a great school where I can get a good education. I like the coaches. I've got a great relationship with [receivers] Coach [Angelo] Mirando."
In 2010, Cowan had 31 catches for 658 yards and eight touchdowns.
