Anthony Covington is still torn between two schools but that doesn't mean he has narrowed things down for good.
Covington, a three-star corner from Charlotte (N.C.) Mallard Creek, watched one of his teammates verbally commit to North Carolina last month. That was four-star defensive back Brian Walker.
It certainly can't hurt the Tar Heels to have Walker on board but Covington is his own man and won't be swayed by what someone else decides.
Covington is still torn between two schools, Wake Forest and North Carolina.
"As of right now I would probably still say it's those two," Covington said this week. "Some of that is because I haven't had the chance to venture out and see some other schools."
What other schools is the 5-foot-10, 185-pound corner talking about?
"Schools like Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh, Minnesota and some of the other schools that have already offered," he said.
"Once I get out and see those other schools hopefully I'll be able to make a decision."
Those visits will probably come sometime this summer.
East Carolina, Mississippi State, NC State and Virginia are the other schools that have verbally offered Covington.
