Could Chambless become a Cougar

Corpus Christi (Texas) Calallen quarterback Jordan Chambless just returned from a weekend visit to one of his top schools. Could they be nearing a commitment from the signal caller?
“I went to Houston this weekend,” the 6-foot-2, 200-pound Chambless said. “I was able to talk to the coaches. I’m probably leaning that way right now. They run a great offense. The indoor facility is nice. The QB there right now is a good friend of mine (Kevin Cobb). I keep in touch with him a lot.”

The Cougars aren’t the only school in pursuit of the three-star rated Chambless.
“I’ve also gotten calls from Rice, TCU and Kansas.”
Earlier, Chambless said the Texas Longhorns had re-entered the picture for his talents.
“As for Texas, I’ve gotten nothing lately. The mail has kind of quit from them and they haven’t called. I don’t know how much interest they still have.”
Don’t look for a decision from Chambless anytime soon.
“I won’t make any commitments until we are getting ready for baseball season,” he said. “Our season starts up in early February.”
Calallen has gotten off to a good start at 3-0.
“We had a big upset kind of win in San Antonio in our first game. We won 31-0. I have thrown for 516 yards in three games and run for 308.”
