Cougs snag Texas star
Denton, Texas, running back Anthony Aldridge has gone back and forth with a decision, but it's one he's finally reached.
"I committed to Houston today," Aldridge said this morning from his school. "When I looked at their depth chart and playing situation for me, it all made sense. I can go down there and contribute early."

Aldridge, who is 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds, picked UofH over Kansas, Iowa State, Texas A&M and Texas Tech. He said he is not going to take a scheduled official visit to Texas Tech this weekend.
"It’s a great deal for Anthony," said Denton coach Gary Fischer. "He already has a familiarity with the offense and he knows coach (Phillip) Montgomery real well. Houston will be a great place for him."
