Cougars snag sleeper WR recruit
Cedar Hill, Texas, quarterback Marcus Herford has already committed to play college football at the University of Kansas. But his teammate, Sylvester Wright, is joining as a Division I recruit.
“He’s committed to Houston,” Cedar Hill coach Joey McGuire said. “Sylvester is a good kid and an even better player. He’s 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds with a legit time of 4.46 in the 40-yard dash.”

Wright committed to Houston last week after earning a scholarship offer from the Cougars. This season, Walker had 30 receptions for 485 yards and six touchdowns.
“He’s raw at receiver,” McGuire said.
“He played tailback as a sophomore and a junior. He’s a tough kid, and just coming into his own. He was the district sophomore of the year two years ago and he’s only going to get bigger and better in college.”
